Trimox and Wymox only come as capsules having a concentration of 250 mg or 500 mg.

Some examples how you can use Amoxicillin

If you want to treat:
1. Sinus Infection Treatment - typically the dosage would be one 500mg. Tablet or capsule twice daily for 10 to 14 days. And be sure to drink milk or eat something with it as it can cause an upset stomach.
2. For infections such as strep throat - it is important to take Amoxil for the entire amount of time your doctor has prescribed. Even if you feel better, you need to continue taking Amoxil. If you stop taking Amoxil before your treatment time is complete, you may get other infections, such as glomerulonephritis (a kidney infection) or rheumatic fever.
3. Ear Infection – for a person that has 22 pounds - give 80-90mg/kg/day in two doses. This would be 800 mg per day, or 400mg two times a day, or 1 1/2 tsp of the 250/5ml two times a day. This dose of 800 could also be given as a three times a day dose of about one tsp three times a day. Choose the two times a day dose due to better effect and convenience.
